Overview
A friend with serious mountaineering skills had no idea how to turn them into a business. I did. In 2012 we co-founded Climb Mt. Apo — a guiding service for climbs up Mt. Apo (2,954m, the highest peak in the Philippines) and Mt. Talomo.
My contribution was everything outside the mountain itself: brand identity, web presence, and the systems that let clients actually find and book a climb.
What I Built
- Full brand identity from scratch
- WordPress website with climb scheduling and inquiry system
- Facebook presence and social media strategy that drove initial client acquisition
- Positioning and copy that communicated trust to first-time climbers
The Result
The business went from zero digital presence to a functioning client pipeline. Sometimes the most valuable thing you can bring to a partnership is the part the other person can’t do at all.
